How Good a Game is Dragon Age 2?

I've read a bunch of mixed reviews so I thought I might have a better chance with asking you guys in general (and girls, unless you're fbi agents).

Is Dragon Age 2 a good game in itself, without comparing it to the wonder that its predecessor was? Because honestly, its predecessor wows me and I just started playing it a few days ago. Aside from having to cut the game off and restart thanks to little miss "never fixed" memory leak every few hours, It completely wipes every game I've played recently off the map.

Back on topic, what are your opinions? Is it a good stand alone game if you don't overshadow it with its amazing predecessor or is it just not good all around?

Your going to get nothing but mixed reviews on the pc boards..Some will say they love it some hate it like myself..Its all up to the person playing style really..Why did i hate it they dumbed it down and it didnt need ot be dumbed down..Also the maps are all the same thats kind of lame..Its a shame they couldve just took every thing dragon age an made it better instead made it worste...If you want a real rpg try the witcher 2..Its on par with dragon age origins...Trust me on this.

Even though I loved the first one much more I still enjoyed the storyline. It is a must more action based RPG now and a very easy and quick play.

As a stand alone game, It's good, though the places you can go to is severely limited.Treflis

Yes. Without any comparison's, DA II is a very good game.

Dragon Age 2 is awful. If you like doing mindless fetch quest for hours in the same city with the same dungeonsthen maybe you'll like it. Story has no focus for about 75% of the game. If you like a game with a good story then I say you should stay away from Dragon Age 2. You'll also be fighting in the same areas and dungeons when you first start the game to the very end of the game. So if you don't like exploring but instead like mindlessly killing mobs with fancy moves over and over again to do mindless fetch quests then you'll enjoy the game.
