how good does your PC have to be to play World in conflict?

I own a console and the only thing I use m pc for is to browse the net, watch some movies and do schoolwork. But there is one game that has caight my attention and im really wanting it. Its an RTS called World in Conflict. so far this looks like my dream game I want to play it so bad and I have the money but unfortunately my PC is crap.

I dont know anyhing about computers but this is what I got when I looked for its specs.

Intel(R)
Celeron(R)
CPU 2.80 GHz
2.80 GHz
248 mb of RAM

can I play WiC without problems?

Also would you reccomend me another good RTs games that focus more on he battles and less on the economy building? (And preferabbly have alot of units on screen)

You can try Dawn of War. It seems you just have enough RAM for it. I'd suggest you try the demo.

Just wondering, what video card do you have?

well according to my local best buy RAM is pretty cheap, lets say I buy 1 gb of RAM, will that be enough to play this game?

No, because you still need a videocard.

the pc in my sig can play it maxed at 1280x1024 with 4xaa and 16xaf, at around 55 fps... not to say, my pc has like 15x the power urs...GTR2addict

Celerons are NOT meant for gaming, they are meant to be budget processors. It wouldn't matter if you bought a new video card and upgraded your ram, you will never be able to play WiC with that system.... At least anything higher than bare minimum settings, even then I doubt it would run very smoothly.

World in Conflict is probably the most demanding RTS out there right now in the big picture (Supreme Commander no doubt requires more cpu power but not as much as far as the GPU goes).

its not fake crap, hell, il make a video if i have to, and i also recommend a brand new pc, mainly cuz of that cpu, no matter what u upgrade, that just wont do the job, and as supremebeast said, a quad core has to be the choice if u wanna play wic, a good dual core will do, but the quad will take the lead most of the times

with that system, but play at only 1280x1024 is not something actually braggable~~
