It's fine, but in general most of America sucks compared to other countries. That's really weird, i know i've looked at areas in Seattle and it seems really nice plus a lot of them had Verizon FIOS :?X360PS3AMD05i know but near seattle means unincorporated and alot of compaines dont serve you unless you live in a city or town.
I've got around 20-22mb down and 1mb upload, so yours is pretty bad.TheSystemLord1brag much? i get like 1.5mb down and like 300k up. which is enough for gaming but downloads can take a while.

You must live in Los Angeles, because I have about the same speed. I have like the most basic DSL plan, but it is more than enough for me. There isnt a huge of a download to justify making an upgrade to my service plan to get higher speeds. It's more than sufficient for everyday use, whether it be web-surfing and downloading, and for Xbox Live and PSN. Anything more than that is just unnecessary.
i love it when people claim 22mb p/s d/l speeds. considering that the highest speed you can get from cable providers is a 12mb connection and thats expensive as balls, not to mention practically no one actually gets 12 mb in reality. if you pay some crazy bill to get your 22 mb/s you should probably either rethink your life and find something better to throw your money at or just kill yourself because you haven't been a part of society on the past 2 years... or maybe you're just crazy rich and can't think of anything else to spend your cash on, in which case good job, now start thinking of someone other than yourself and donate your money instead of wasting ona connection thats about 4x as fast as you needeverdai
Jealous much ? lol plus it might be expensive in your area but i know in japan you can get 100/100MB for like 30$ a month i know cus i went there

I find your reaction to be more than a bit over the top...
I have Comcast for my ISP, and I assure you, I don't pay that exhorborant of a price. I only pay $35 a month for my 16 mbps connection speed. Additionally, you apparently don't know much about internet speeds, as cable providers can offer speeds much, much faster than 12 mbps... Comcast offers upto 24 mbps in my area. There are cable speeds of 50 to 100 mbps + in some areas of the US. Look up DOCSIS 3.0 sometime.
Finally, of course the peak speeds of download are theoretical. I never would expect to get anywhere near 16,000 kbps on my connection in a real-world situation. However, I do rather like seeing real download speeds of over 1mbps.
On another note, here's my connection speed.
[QUOTE="mike4realz"]i used Speedtest.net and here's my result

How much do you pay for your internet? Because that's 10 times faster than my connection. Do you have T1 or something?
using COMCAST Cable...$33 bucks a month

Example, I downloaded the Call of Duty 4 Demo (1.4 GB) at a sustained rate of 2.1 Mb a second, meaning you can consistently max out your connection. It just all depends on where you live and how many people are using their cable connection in your area.
