I'm thinking of getting a PC with an Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 processor, 3 GB of RAM and a 9500 GS.
Is this a good gaming setup?

Thanks.

Seems to me the least you could do is a 8800 GT. I haven't seen a 9500 GS but there is a 9500 GT and it is a waste of money IMO. Get two of these cards in the link and SLi them for maximum GPU power per dollar ratio.

The 9500 is simply not good. You're going to need to spend twice that for a decent card.

ditch the quad and get a dual core instead, take the money you saved and get an 8800
