I don't think they bin their chips like eVGA or XFX do so they may consistently have more OC headroom (or is left up to luck as it should be). I've heard good and bad about their CS, but I've heard worse of PNY's. MSI's warranty is pretty much effective for two years, then the third they will charge $75 for RMA's IIRC. Only thing is the decal on the cooler is whack IMO. I'd prefer the giant NVIDIA commas, but luckily the card spends its days upside down in ATX cases (BTX would have that decal on a platter pretty much).

imo EVGA is the only brand to buy. the warranty is godly (lifetime warranty that covers OCing). the step up program and customer service simplycant be beat.

You can easily see your temps through the Nvidia Control Panel.

Its no problem picking up the MSI 8800GT. As I think it is actually the cheapest factory-OCed 8800GT out there, add to the fact its nicely OCed too(660/1900).

personally tho, price aside no one compares with EVGA. the warranty and step up justify any addtional cost.

Problem is EVGA doesn't sell worldwide.

Well i think it's different for every GPU.I dont know about the 8800GT.You can google it or just make a topic here when you get the card and post your temps and ask whether they are normal or not.
