How good is the witcher and how long do you think it will last?

How good is the Witcher? I played the demo and thought it was pretty cool. Does it get better? Do you get many spells. And how long is the game?

it does get better, you get 5 signs, I think you have access to 2 in the demo

fire, air, trap, hex, shield. Fire and air are the best ones though

The game is over 40 hours long, at a modest pace with few sidequests.

The Witcher is great fun to play and has some great missions.

60+ hours is about right if you do all the quests and side quests (depending on difficulty, play style etc).

There is a level up system, you can level up your Witcher styles, your signs, strength etc etc.

There are also different endings.

Well it might get better buts its hard to tell with all the damn bugs and stuff. Patching the game doesnt help much either, it just makes the whole game unstable and makes it crash alot. This is the main reason i stopped playing the game.jayjayman

I got the game when it was released and didn't see any problems other than long load times and a single memory over run bug. Since they have patched it it runs great. The load times will still be long if you have less than 3GB of RAM.

I've already gotten well over 40 hours of gameplay out of the game and haven't been dissapointed in the least.

There are five spells, but they can be upgraded to higher levels for different effects (for example, the Aard sign can be upgraded to hit a wide arc of enemies, and/or to disarm them, and/or stun them, and so on).

The game is a good 30-50 hours long, depending on how many side-quests that you choose to do (you'll probably want to do most of them).

There are three paths that the game's finale can take, and generally two or three ways to approach situations, so there's a decent amount of replayability.

...and yes, it's an RPG with a levelling system. I think that there's around 250 talents that you can learn - most of them are upgraded versions of weaker talents, but there's still a decent variety of skills to acquire.

I'm in chapter 2 and my game is patched, and I have had NO problems whatsoever, but then again, I never have any problems with any of the games I play. :)

There r some scenes where u have sex. U dont acctually see it, its more of a background thing in black and white and in the fore ground there is a card with a picture of a chick showing her **** or something. There r different cards everytime u have sex.
