I think what you should do is find somebody that knows about building PCs and have them help you pick out compatible parts. From there you should get a good idea of what to look for when building a PC. If I would give advice, I would pick a Mobo and Processor that go together first.

Well i am going to read into it and study it and speak to technicians before attempting myself. Someone posted about picking the mobo and CPU first, i would do that anyway and i know what to look for with compatibility.

you're fine with that base knowledge of compatibility.  just google some build sites or pick up a 5 dollar computer magazine.  i bought a really nice pc gamer magazine that shows like 60 pictures of an in depth build process.  anyways, theres a lot of free knowledge out there, i suggest you use it.  building a computer is really easy.  go for ittttt.

Rather easy but time consuming, hard if you want exotic cooling like compressors or nl2 :D

I just looked up a few sites, read up, asked questions on this forum. The first time I built a computer I built this one in my sig. No major problems, had to rma the mobo once because of a problem with the connector, but besides that it was all fine.

I suggest going to www.howstuffworks.com search for how to build a computer and watch the videos. It shows you how easy it is when you have the right parts picked out to just put them together. Also, do what I did and just say what your budget is on these forums and people will help you out picking what's compatible and good for your budget.
