Just wondering is this too hot? I mean iv not had it very long there shouldnt be much build up and the vents right?

87C holy... that seems way hot, im not a laptop expert so they might be able to with stand more heat but that still seems way to high, most CPUs shouldntbe exposed to over 60-65C for prolonged periods. usually a problem if you hit over 60C and your not overclocking.

That certainly is hot, but it's a laptop. It really shouldn't be getting hotter than 80c.

You should actually make it really hot, till it melts. It deserves it.

He should put it on his lap too. Make sure he can't have any kids ;)

Back on topic. that's pretty hot. Especially for running an old game like D2.

But yeah, my Asus "gaming laptop" gets warm enough on the exhaust side to keep coffee warm, but 80+c? Thats probably bad.

is it full of dust or something? my laptop full of dust gets to 84C thats a little intense. try using some compressed air to get that dust out.
