^^ Wow, a PS3 has a 8800 GTX Dual Core proccessor huh? Ok buddy. You need to quit quoting other people BS, and do some homework. First of all the PS3 has the RSX GPU which was adapted from a 7800 GTX. The 7800 GTX and the 8800 GTX are to completely diffrent architectures. The 8800 GTX was the first to employ a unified architecture vs. the X and Y pixel pipelines of the past. The 8800 GTX uses 128 Stream Proccessors vs. 24 Pixel Pipelines of the 7800 GTX. 128 cores means its a "many core proccessoor" not a "dual core". As for the 360 its GPU wsa based off of a 1900Xt I believe, which was about a half generation behind the PS3 not to mention the fact that the 3600 was release at least a year before the PS3. So how do you think a 3870x2 would fair against a 9800 GX2? Or a 8800 Ultra vs a 4870?
Don`t you know that ATI has the fastest single card in the world right now? And trust me I am not a fan of ATI, I`ve bought 5 Nvidia cards before I recently purchase my 4870, because ATI doesn`t try to rape you for a decent video card. Don`t spit out BS from some one else to try to make somebody feel like a Jackass you Jackass.

I think he just quoted it into his sig becaues it is soo misinformed and stupid.. >.>
Intel's processors are superior to those of AMD, usually by a large margin. One can see this in their prices; there are dual-core Intels that are more expensive than AMD's fastest quad-core. AMD has an advantage in chipsets, which are usually more feature-packed and energy-conscious, with a lower cost (e.g. the 780G and NVIDIA 8300). However, the G45 seems to be a good competitor in terms of power and energy consumption, able to make some low-energy systems (like 65W at load).
Unless you're creating an HTPC or budget system, Intel should be your first choice, especially for gaming. In fact, the only competitor for Intel is itself; it remains to be seen how the Core i7 processors will compare with current Core 2's in gaming performance.

dam doesnt that mean im owned =[ anyway didnt notice that was his sig.Currently Intel has the "more powerfull" processors. If your game or application is CPU intensive go with Intel. However if you don't have $1,400 to spend on "fastest quadcore" bragging rights, AMD has a sweet "true quad core" CPU for under $200. If your games/applications are more GPU intensive, couple the AMD 9000 Seried Phenom with one of their 4000 series graphics cards and you'll have one sweet system that will leave cash left over for essentials like.... food, rent etc..

The Q6600 is old tech and is better than the black edition quad in every single way apart from price!
