I'm considering getting it, but I've heard from some people that the PC version is kind of lame due to the controls and stuff (funky mouse settings...), and that shooting is kind of a drag on the PC side. Mind you, this was from the beta, so I don't know what their opinions on the full game are, but yeah. Anyways, just wanted to know if it's a better game to buy on the 360. I also have a couple of friends who have the 360 version... sooo... yeah.

EDIT: I've tried looking for strictly PC reviews of the game, they all seem to be reviewed on the same platform (PS3 or 360).

People complaining about the PC version being bad are crazy. The only valid complaint is the servers acting up, but that's getting fixed soon.

Controls are fine. Mouselook may not feel as solid as some games but certainly not bad and much better than using a controller. Features that only the pc version has are server browser, favorites list and custom fov. Also more likely to get free dlc.

If you exclude the current server issue which will be fixed, its an amazing game.

What is this server issue everyone keeps talking about? Well, it is EA... should I even be asking? :D

Some have had issues with connecting to servers. I've had a little trouble here and there but not too bad. The game is great and a lot of fun.

Awesome. I don't know how it compares to the console version, but picking it up on any platform is certainly a good idea.

Right now you find a good server and roll with it. It can take 5-10 minutes to get a full server list and find something nearby that has an opening, hence server jumping is pretty inefficient.

I have not be able to get any servers added to my favorites. Anyone having any luck with that?

The PC version looks better and it can support more players. If you have a decent enough gaming rig, then the PC is the obvious choice.

It takes about 30 mins to adjust the mouse, other then that it works great. (the default settings are horrible and it just takes FOREVER to get the mouse comfortable).

Only been playing for one day so I reserve my final judgement for later but my initial impressions are it's not the same caliber as BF2. I enjoy the graphics and destructible environments, but the aiming is off and enemies are difficult to spot against the detailed environment. I somehow don't get the sense of freedom I had in BF2. Makes me want to play the old game again.

Eh. I kinda just put it all the way up and worked my way down slowly to find the right setting for me. I would play some with it in between though.

The bullet physics will take a little getting used to. Overall it feels great imo...much better than any other Battlefield game. The only thing I don't like is the ping compensation method that they used (mostly because it allows for people to sometimes kill you when you're already in cover. Not to mention the "you kill your target, but he kills you at the same moment" thing happens way more than it should; I've had it happen upwards of 4 times in one match.

As for the "difficult to see enemies" bit..yeah, it definitely is sometimes, especially in DX10/11 with that HDR. One thing that helps greatly is anti-aliasing..it'll eliminate the "crawling" jagged edges, making on-screen motion much move obvious. I still have some trouble spotting Recon players, but that's intended. I generally don't have much trouble seeing the other classes (depending on the map.)

Has anyone had trouble with the bloom feature making things really hard to see occasionally? or in some levels on the singleplayer theres way too much dust to see anything.

Yeah..the massive bloom in this game is disgusting; I disable it.

Yeah, the controls are a bit muddy, but you DO get used to it, I mean completely, you don't just "put up with it", you adapt and it seems like any other game :D

It's a little rough around the edges just now but it's one of the best multiplayer games I've ever played. Buy buy buy! :D
