Can get it from GMG for 14 for the standard edition. Is it worth the buy?

It ran pretty bad (optimization wise) on my PC. The controls were fine, just the graphics performance. Could be my PC, but I've heard it has optimization issues.

Well, with all the updates install should be ok. The graphics on the PC looks way better than in consoles, thought, It moves way better on console. But, it´s good on PC... too bad the game is kinda boring. At least the campaing, the gameplay is awesome.

It was fine for me, I didn't really have any problems running the game at all.

single player is worth a try, length but little repetitive. I'd give it a 8/10 at least, MP is one of the kind, but it's pretty much dead now.

edit: don't believe other users, this game never had optimized issue, it's pretty demanding, that's all.

Exactly what I'd suggest although it is a bit team oriented so you may want to invest in a mic if you don't have one already. It's fun being able to snipe with shotguns, sort of like you could in real life since shotgun bullets don't just magically disappear beyond 5 meters...

Too demanding for a Q6600, 8GB RAM and GTX470....?

It's OK... but if, like me, you want to play it with an Xbox controller, there is no Invert Y option. Luckily I found a mod someone made that let me flip it, but this was pretty inexcusable on Ubis part. Plus, the singleplayer has balancing issues. So I'd only get it if you are going for the online play, which I never even tried. But it did run just fine on my rig, which is at the higher end of the medium range (GTX 580).

Was probably my processor the bottleneck? Q6600 - 8GB RAM DDR2 - GTX470

I was told my processor bottlenecks with my card also, but some argued due to it's hyper threading it has. I'm going to say yeah the processor is what bottlenecks the graphics card.

demanding or poorly optimized?

compared to Crysis 2 or any of forstbite 2 games, GRFS looks worst, and yet it's more "demanding" to run well on higher graphic settings.

I would actually like to clarify something and re-post my prior statement. The game at launch with patches from 1.1 to 1.3 runs really poor. Bad optimization. Once you install patch 1.4 and 1.5 the game runs a lot better. Before patch 1.5 I couldn't even play it since the framerate was so poor. Now it works smooth and loving the game (up to mission 3).
