I have a 7900GS and I play all of the games you listed except for Halo 2. All games run very well on high settings. However, I also have an E6600 and 2 gigs of RAM, so don't expect the same results if you don't have at least those.
The 7900GS has also been proven to be better than the 8600GTS.Â
