well what should i get for around 50 to 60 bucks?WMDfreeman99Nothing, save 20 more bucks and buy a 7600GT. Otherwise you are just wasting money on something crappy.
You already have one message thread about this subject. Your budget is pretty much of a bad joke, just like the 6200 is. TTBOMK, there is not any nVidia-based video card in your price range that is even one fourth as good as the 9600 XT linked in that other thread (that was the only good 9600, in my view, and at $45 after the MIR, the cost is pretty small).
(Yes, his MB predates PCIe by a good bit.)
In my personal opinion, the GF4 Titaniums were outstanding when they were brand new (which is what he says he is still using), and then they were vastly over-rated as soon as the Radeons 9500 and 9700 appeared from ATI, but I saw some GF3 Titaniums, still new, at one of the Overstocks and Surplus sales outfits, at only $20 or so, shipped. That would stand in for a GF4 very well (there was actually only an incremental difference between the Titaniums from GF3 and GF4).
Listen guys I am not to wrried about the gaming aspect of my a machine right now...i am build a new one later for that. My geforce 4 card fan is making a annoying noise and I was wonder what is a decent card to replace it with that is around 50 to60 bucks. I mean i am half way tempted to disconnect the fan on the video card. I dont thinks it will hurt it that bad.. I mean the freaking fan is so small on it anyway... What do you guys think?WMDfreeman99
Assuming you have an AGP slot on your motherboard get a Radeon 9600XT 256MB

I gave him a link to one of those at Newegg, $45 after the MIR. In the original thread that this duplicates.
Since that wasn't wanted, and although a 9550 is most certainly a junker, $29 is very close to wholesale price:

I paid the same price on newegg for a 6800XT..64.95 :Dttomm1946
I hope you realize you got a seriously crippled 6800 by taking an "XT" model. It's just the same as an "LE" (Lousy Edition), and uses the ATI suffix as a snub of the nose to the competition. The 6600 GT is usually cheaper than the 6800 XT, and it performs just as well.
Personally, when I tested a 6600 GT in Oblivion, I was unimpressed by its capability. On the other hand, a 6800 GT was OK.
