How is the latest Prince of Persia?

It takes some of the best from other PoP titles (puzzle solving from newest 3 titles, one-on-one combat from the classic PoP) and brings them together into a decent story. The game also focuses a bit too much (IMO) on light seed collecting in order to progress through the game, but that allows you to explore the world without much consequence. All in all, I'd recommend the game, especially if you haven't played any of the series' games before.dizzykim

You should watch the video review. It does a good job of explaining the difference. This new Prince of Persia is pure platformer with approximately zero focus on any sort of combat; its gameplay resembles that of Ico for the ps2.DGFreak

That's why I likened the combat to the classic Prince of Persia. Both games worked pretty much the same way, albeit one was in a 2D space. But I will watch the video -- thanks :)

i liked it, i only played it on the XB360, but i think its a solid game

it can be weird at times, control wise tho.

well what i meant brother.. no offense at all but he is more like prince of anime that prince or PERSIA ... well when i heard the next prince of persia installment with next generation hardware, that defently wasnt in my mind.. after warrior within and two thrones.. i expected something similar, great game but id recommend it to those who havent played or dont like the previous games!Hellboard

Gotcha -- I understand what you mean. If a comparison with Warrior Within and Two Thrones is what you were looking for, then I agree that the new PoP isn't quite the same.

The Persia part has to do with the mythology of Ahriman, the god you have to re-imprison.

Played about 2-3 hours at a friends on his pc and its alot of fun, i personally think its better then the last few Prince Of Persia games. The gameplay is good, the graphics are nice, The Art Direction is great, and the controls are pretty well done. Not GOTY or anything, but i was pretty surprised!kozzy1234

Its not always like that, im just sayign my honest opinion man:P

Im wierd though, i enjoy foreign movies, jazz reggae blues rock and hiphop music and lots of wierd stuff:P

Im sure there are some games we both enjoy:P

I havnt played more then a few hours of the new prince of persia though, so i cant really give it a score or full opinion yet. But what i played was pretty enjoyable to me.

Where did Ubisoft mention this happen in real-world Persia? The game is based upon Persian mythology and fables which is exactly what Prince of Persia is, a persian style fable. It doesn't happen in Persia, it happens in a fantasy world fit to be in a persian myth.

i`ve played all prince of persia games, and it`s style is great so i think this one will be good. the only thing i didn`t like is there`s no time control anymore :(
