How long this could last for gaming?

I have purchased a new Laptop (HP Pavilion DV5 1070ee)
It has a PureVideo HD graphics by NVIDIA. It has a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT video card. and please see the link down for more inforamtion about:

Could you tell me is this Laptop any good for some nowadays video games or futures?

Im pretty new to PC gaming, but it looks like it could handle modern games, i dont know how long it will last for though...

seeing that laptops offer minimal component upgrade path, (mostly memory and hard drive) depending on the res you game at, maybe a yr or 2, you could maybe stretch it out longer if you lower your res. It just depends on how critical you are with your resolution. If you cant stand jaggies at all, then maybe only 6 months. Laptops are generally a bad buy if you only plan on gaming with it.

Yeah as the above said, You can usually get better gaming out of a $800 desktop and a $500 laptop for school, then a $1300 gaming laptop.
