I'm looking to get a Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX. How long will that remain a card that's good enough to run games at high settings, do you think?

1.5 to about 2 years, depending on other system specs and Resolution of course. But around there.

My last card that I had was a Nvidia 7600 GT OC and it last me like 6 or 7 months at least and then I whent and bought my self a 8600 GT XXX Edition with 256mb the other had the same. I don't have a lot of money so that is why I chose to get the 8600 but I'm looking for a cheap 8800 or something like that.

After Crysis I don't think graphics will be advancing to much in the next 2-3 years so you should be good for that long at least.
