delays happen in the computer game industry, it's a natural part of the process, and it's usually for the better - while the same can't quite be said as much for a demo as it can for a full game... imagine if the demo was buggy or didn't run properly, would you find yourself inclined to purchase the full game? people base purchase decisions on demos, so a good demo is important to a development team - getting it right is important
and remember that crytek is giving us a piece of their game for free, i think that we're getting it at all is a kindness, and they should feel no obligation to deliver it at a certain time, regardless of prior promises

then you mustn't buy games, i guess, since almost every game gets hit with numerous delays for various reasons, some of which are entirely unrelated to the developers - that the demo is delayed is unfortunate, and i don't know the reason behind it, but as i said, would you want an incomplete demo that did not accurately convey the final game experience? it's not easy making games...
theygive us a date so we know to keep an eye out for it, and to keep our interest up -nothing is ever set in stone when it comes to release dates in games industry, or many other industries... to expect otherwise is childlike naivety, or extreme unfamiliarity with the industry
A little disappointed maybe, but not mad. If they want more time for the demo, then that's fine. There were alot of optimization complaints with the beta.
Yeah, the big thing is the release date! There's no game I'm looking forward to more. Even though, if they needed a little more time to get things "right" for the final release, I personally wouldn't be too concerned -- but only a little more time ;)

I still can't believe people get all angry over a demo being delayed, its ridiculous. By now you should of all gotten used to the idea that delays are common in the gaming world so you should of expected this in the Crysis demo release. Just think about it like this, with the demo delayed we'll probably be getting a better version of it on October 26th to give us a far better impression of the final release of the game. Just breathe, relax, be patient and don't get worked up because the demo is delayed and you should of expected this, its as common to delay something in the gaming world as it is to fart in the real world.
I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!!! lol
No, seriously though, I have never seen a demo be pushed back.. it's kind of stupid... :/
I wanted to give my 640 8800 GTS a run for it's money, no game has come close to giving it any guff yet.
