I've moved down to DX9 and I can hardly tell the difference if at all. I play with everything on high except for shaders and get a very solid 30-40 fps that rarely dips down below 30. At first I was not happy with performance, but now I am. There seems to be a lot of hitches in DX10 whenever I turn quickly it'll stop for a split second, in DX9 this problem isn't existant.Zaber123whats the point of your post i cant remember him asking 'what fps do you get on crysis' anyways for the other posters the reason why you cant fully max out crysis is because cytek has made it so that the next generation of GPU's should really be the only ones that max it out so in the future you can come back and play it maxed out its there way of making sure the graphics dont get outdated.
on my amazing pentium 4 3Ghz HT performance rated 4.45GHz, 2GBs 533MHz RAM and xfx 8400gs on 1024 x 768, 2xAA and with settings like shadows and shaders on low and stuff like models and that on medium I got between 15-30fps. Playable and could decrease settings more if I want to but it looks and plays ok considering my crappy computer.
lol they also made it so that even crappy rigs can run it, you can even run it smoothly on an 6800GT. lol but 2xAA @30fps hmmm/...on my amazing pentium 4 3Ghz HT performance rated 4.45GHz, 2GBs 533MHz RAM and xfx 8400gs on 1024 x 768, 2xAA and with settings like shadows and shaders on low and stuff like models and that on medium I got between 15-30fps.
