Considering how long Steam has been around for and it's popularity don't you think the numbers in your poll are extremely low?

I've had steam for 5 years and I have only bought about 6 gams off it. Plus, DD has only recently become a big thing.

Weird, weird game. Packs inflate my list, too - bought the ID pack, the 2K pack, and the Indy pack, which probably account for half the games on there.

I only buy the games that NEED Steam to run (Half Life for example). Other than that, I like my box/DVD case on my shelf so I buy retail.

OMFG! How much do you people buy!? Jesus christ! I've only bought 2 games from Steam - Half-Life and The Secret of Monkey Island. But that's pretty understandable I guess, because I've only had Steam for like 6 months so... Except for those 2 I have The Orange Box and Left 4 Dead, great games! But I like buying boxed versions of games, looks better when you add them to your collection in the bookcase :D

I have 53 right now, but I have only purchased 14 as single game purchases. I got a bunch from one of their collection packs (2K Huge Collection Pack), Got a bunch of Half-Life related stuff via my old (as in original release) half life CD key - Dawn of War 2 was purchased retail but requires steam, same with Left 4 Dead. Purchased 2 games in deal pack and have 2 'free' games via an ATI promotion from a while back. Once you start buying their package deals the # of games goes up radically

Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead and FEAR 2 - none of which I've actually bought from Steam, they only require activation through Steam. Oh also CS:S I think, it came with HL2. Unless that counts, I've bought ZERO games from Steam.

In the unlikely event that I buy something as DD, I want it to be completely DRM free or no deal. I've only ever bought two games through DD, and those are UnReal World (indie Finnish survival-RPG) and Mount & Blade beta.

About 7 or 8. I only in the last year started buying games on steam vs hard-copy. And as long as there's the dl option I will never ever go back to buying hard copies. I mean hard-copies just take up too much space and you have to insert the disc every time you want to play the game, well on some games. But yeah DD FTW! I see no reason at all why everyone shouldn't be buying off steam or any other download site. Download speeds are fast enough now to make dd the standard.
