I am a great fan of the gears of war. I think there should be a sequel for this game. How many you agree with this.

I believe Gears of War has already been announced as a trilogy. Still, it's weird these days when a game franchise isn't a trilogy. THERE ARE MORE NUMBERS OUT THERE PEOPLE.

Personally, I don't care. The only good thing about Gears is its coop mode, which is great fun. But it would be much better if the AI was built from the ground up with coop in mind. Add a Brothers-in-Arms suppression meter type thing, and have the two players really have to work together to put every enemy down. Could be a lot of fun.

In general, though... Gears is a game series I can live without. There are much better shooters out there - Vegas is a better cover-mechanic-using shooter (IMHO!!!!) and, well, let's be honest - 90% of all Gears's praise was because of how damn good looking it is. But we've already got a better looking game than Gears 2 in Crysis. Probably.

I was also looking forward for a GOW movie which was confirmed but that was it and after that I never heard about it again. I dont think a GOW movie would flop like a HALO movie would.

Gears was quality, I dont doubt that, but it just cant compete with the shooters we get on PC.

Once you get past the gimmicks (cover system, the chainsaw, and...well, I guess thats about it really) I just dont like it that much. Plus multiplayer is lame and singleplayer was TOO DAMN SHORT.

I would play the sequal with my buddy on his 360 (and beat it in a short, drunk weekend like GoW 1), but thats it.

IF they made a sequel i think they should focus more on coop and single player. i have the most fun on games with coop. and they should make it PC exclusive

Gears rules, and I played it on PC.

The cover system may be a gimmick, but it's fun! I feel badass! I like shooting like that, it has a small tactical dimension, while maintaining the fun of a good 3rd person shooter.

The weapons are fun, the characters are funny, the damn enemies are awesome (I love the BOOOOOOOOM... It ads some charm!), and the dialogue... OMG. Cracks me up every time they open their mouths.

So, I would certainly play a dozen of sequels.

From what was given in terms of story in the first one was insulting to me as a gamer who enjoys plot in a game. I was teased with only a fraction of what should have been presented. I would like to see a sequel so that the plot can be fleshed out to the point where it should have been in the first game.

I think they will definitely make another one. I mean, the first one sold tremendously and the ending definitely left it open for a sequel. I really enjoyed GoW and hope they make the sequel.

You know it will. Even if it only comes out for the 360 (and not PC), you will have to have a live account.

Definitely will be a sequal for Gears of War. The first game was such a great game. Im hoping they would include a scene where you fight with a Brumak.

I wouldn't want one. The gameplay was weak compared to other shooters on PC. Chainsaw and cover system was a gimmick while the game had a terrible story, very few different weapons, highly unlikeable characters, lack of different enemies, uninspiring level design, an awfully short campaign, and bad voice acting.

Not to say that it's a bad game. I had some good fun with it. It was a technical and artistic achievement with a good musical score. But I was expecting more from what is the 360 "killer-app", and what I got was a game with average gameplay and great use of the Unreal 3.0 engine.

well the game basically ended with a "we'll be back" moment so I'm sure its coming. Although I'm not convinced that PC will get it at all, let alone later.
