How many people still play Battlefield 2?

Does anyone know how many people still play Battlefield 2? The game has come to my attention recently thanks to my friends, and I'm considering buying it, but if no one plays its anymore it would kinda defeat the purpose.

There is still a fair amount of people. Mostly elitests who love to air camp.

I still play good amounts of PR and FH2, both great mods.

Infinatry only is real good on that game. Loads of people. (beware of 'nade spam!)
