So how much do you think I can oc a e8400 on a gigabyte ud3r (yes I know all cpus are different just the average one). I've heard of them easily getting to 4ghz, but recently I've heard only to 3.8 or 3.6.

Push it up in really small increments (I'd say only 50-100MHz a time), and see how far you can push it before you have to stabilise it with a vcore increase. As long as you keep everything nice and cool, there's no reason you can't get an E0 stepping E8400 to 4GHz. :)

Aftermarket coolers are better than stock coolers when considering overclocking. And liquid cooling? :o Hello 4.5GHz!

You should get to 3.6 GHz pretty easy. I got mine to 4.0 GHz with a little work. I didn't see enough of a performance increase in games, so I went back to 3.6GHz. Cheers

Ive got the 384mb version and its not too bad, till it started faulting anyway (my bad luck), can run most games at high settings on lower resolutions, eg COD 4 or 5 maxed out at around 50-60fps @ 1280x800.

Not a bad card but as im upgrading to 22" tft and mine is faulty im getting 4870 1GB and RMA'in the 9600GSO

I'll be getting that cooler as well. Did you know that for Heat-pipe Direct Touch coolers you need to apply the thermal compound in a different way to ensure proper coverage?
