Probably get more money if you parted it out. The resale value for computers anymore is pretty low since the entry price point costs so little now then it did like 8+ years ago.

I think it's alot closer to $350 than 500. For $500 you could build that new but better.

i changed some internal fans and added a special ultra quiet gpu cooler and also using the hyper 212+. My computer is quiet even when running on full power. I wouldn't sell my machine for less than $900. my loudest component is my dvd drive when i am using it.

Ummmm... Are you actually attempting to sell it? Because you can't honestly expect to go into the market and sell your year old pc for only 300$ less than its original price :?

But, you definitely couldn't make that pc for 500$ as swehunt says, the i5 and motherboard alone would probably take up like 400$ of that... lol. Sadly, that's how the used market works! You can push for 500 if you go on ebay or something?

Good luck with $900 LOL. $400 would be my bet, if you took the ssd out. $450 with the ssd.

i didn't see you had an ssd, also 1.5 terabyte is luxury. If it's completely silent that's a plus but 900$ you won't get, you'll be lucky if you get 600$. The biggest minus is the fact it's a dual core and the videocard isn't high end either. You can always try with 900$ but i would try with 750$ maximum

Yeah, I'd say $450. Sorry man but you should never buy a PC with the intentions of selling it. Its not like gold or firearms, tech holds no value.

PSU worth $30

SSD worth $40

GPU worth $60

CPU worth $50

MB worth $45

Case worth $50

HDD worth $40

Windows is a freebe

= $315

Would you pay up $500 for that? -no way!

no, the cpu should be 80 since its an i5 and oc's well. so around 400 for everything sounds right. i agree that tech loses value very quickly, so dont buy a computer if thats important for you. On the bright side, getting a computer nowadays is much cheaper than wat it used to be. If I were you id sell the dual core and look for the 750/760 or the i7 870 on local ads. sell the video card and upgrade to something else. that way you maximize ur investment.

Ocing a CPU doesn't raise the value of it - it actually lowers it in some cases, unless you're using something other than the stock cooler, in which case the custom cooler raises the value. Regardless it's worth more than 50.

But the SSD should be worth a lot more than $40, I'd say about 100 for that.
You could get about 400 for your rig.
