I paid $279.99 for mine about a year ago. It's a Palit 2GB GTX 560 Ti, and I can run any game on max settings...superclockedI should have gotten that one as well... I had a MSI GTX560Ti Twin Frozr II 1GB a while back which I paid 250$ then about a month ago, I got a second one for my new PC payed 200$. If I use Ultra textures with BF3, although I have them SLI-ed, i get massive framedrops, just cause my cards are 1GB. Lame. (All other settings are on Ultra as well. Once I set textures to High and keep everything else on Ultra, i get 50fps+ w/ no stutters)

A couple of games were already using twice that, but only one or two people understood what I was trying to say. BTW, what CPU do have them paried with? I'm still using a Core 2 Duo system w/ a 4.5GHz e8400. I probably should've gotten a 2GB 6950 and flashed it to a 6970, but I was planning on going SLI at the time, and that's all that my motherboard supports. But since BF3 maxes my CPU, I ended up just heatsinking everything on the card and putting an Apogee CPU waterblock on the 560Ti GPU.. Also, an FYI for everyone.. NEVER try different versions of RivaTuner at the same time. I had my 560Ti running at 1.1GHz before I decided to try MSI Afterburner, eVGA Precision, and Asus GPU Tweak all at the same time. My voltages and speeds got all screwed up and damaged the card, so I'm running it at 1GHz now...[QUOTE="superclocked"]I paid $279.99 for mine about a year ago. I'm actually sporting an i5 2500k at stock speeds atm (3.3Ghz). Don't really see a reason why to OC... yet :P
My GTX560Ti-s are also both at "stock" speeds. (Factory OC'd to 880Mhz)
I reused my old PC's PSU which is 750W so OC-ing is kinda stretching it since I have SLi.

What brand of PSU is it? You can always get a $50 PSU for your CPU and motherboard, and then use the 750w for your videocards. I've been using the same two 550w power supplies since 2005. I even ran them without fans for a few months...A EVGA 570 OC'd at 950MHz and 2.1GB of RAM.
Awesome card so far, the only game that really challenges it is Shogun 2.

I guess it would simplify things If I gave you the complete specs of my PC...
i5 2500k @ 3.3GHz
Gigabyte Z68 UD4 board (forgot the exact name of it)
8GB DDR3 1333 (or 1600) Ripjaws X
2x MSi Twin Frozr II GTX 560Ti-s 1GB Vram Factory OC'd to 880MHz
Corsair TX750 750W PowerSupply
I believe the rest can be omitted... But i do use a USB headset (Razer Megalodon) which has had issues with some games, namely Dead Island and the horrible crackling. No performance loss from it though.
whats the best pci-e graphics card now? anyone? for gaming and work.ycdeoGTX 580, or 590 if you count dual GPU single cards. That will be adequate for "work" unless you are doing some really high level professional video editing or other intensive application.
I have 2x MSI 6850 Cyclones. They're powerful when crossfired, I can run everything at the highest settings, except I need to tone down the AA for BF3.
I got my Gigabyte GTX560 Ti (384 core, 822mhz) for $219 at newegg.com. My 2.8ghz Phenom II 720 BE is probably a bit underpowered for it. But, the 560 Ti is still a huge improvement over my 5770.
My Ati 5850 still runs the games I have at mostly high settings.
Some games might have to lower the settings slightly lower for the smooth framerate but overall the card is going strong.
Using the 6970. Mine retails for $360 Canadian and maxes everything I have thrown at it so far at 1920*1200.
I crossfire 2 $200 hd radeon 6870's, very effectiveRenzokucantThere's a slight contradiction in that statement, in and on itself. Crossfire/Sli aren't very effective. That's the problem. BUT. . . when they do work well, it's an amazing experience (performance-wise).
My ATI Radeon HD 5770 is 130 bux and it can run anything on ultra. Way cheaper for the power of a top of the line graphics card.

What resolution ? What framerate do you consider to be acceptable ?
In that case, who had played any games better than 1920x1200 resolutions? Anyone knows?Although u dont need that highest resolutions to enjoy most games.Using the 6970. Mine retails for $360 Canadian and maxes everything I have thrown at it so far at 1920*1200.

A stock GTX580 I purchased about a year ago, when the thing first came out. Beast of a card, good overclocking (this varies by model, revision, and AIB), stays relatively cool and silent for a card of this magnitude, though while the card itself stays cool, I tend to run benchmarks on it when the room is too cold.
All that said, the performance barely justified the 500 euro price. Make no mistake, the performance is BEASTLY, but the 570 is, I believe, better bang for your buck. I only bought it because I had the chance to sell my 5870 at the same time, and I wanted something that could completely outperform my oc'ed 5870, even at stock.
My ATI Radeon X1400 is complete rubbish now. I can't even play some of the newer Indie games. Upgrading is one of the first things I plan on doing once I get the money for it.
really what frames you getting? i got a 560 ti and i can max shogun 2 out and get a solid 60 fps even during the biggest battlesA EVGA 570 OC'd at 950MHz and 2.1GB of RAM.

You must be doing something wrong. I have a GTX 570 at 950mhz and an i5 2500k at 4.4ghz and I get huge fps drops when having a 4vs4 battle. The fps drops are when all the units merge together in battle. So you probably never tried any large battles or you never maxed out the game fully with AA and the directx 11 features. Or you are run at a resolution lower than 1920x1080 (which is the resolution I used) Even Metro 2033 would drop to 28fps at light intensive scenes when completely maxed out.[QUOTE="TH1Sx1SxSPARTA"]really what frames you getting? i got a 560 ti and i can max shogun 2 out and get a solid 60 fps even during the biggest battles[QUOTE="SrpskiVojnik"]

Came with mafia 2.
It's a good card, powerful fan, really loud at high rpm, but idm. Comes with 10 years warranty, haven't read the small letters but i'll stick with it as long as i can :)

lol , i only have this 4 year old vista laptop with an ati hd 3650 with only 256mb memory.
for gaming on high settings i need all the magical optimation mods i can get my hands on.
but ... for me nearly every new game(deus ex hr,crysis 2, skyrim , Rage , hard reset , etc..) runs really well on it.
[QUOTE="Mortos13"]I doubt that. Depending on the rest of his system certainly possible. Im currently using a GTX570 1280MB at stock speeds. Its a great card that can run anygame at high settings at 1080pChris_53
Same here, and the 1.3gb of VRAM is plenty for 1080p gaming for atleast another couple of years. Very few games even come close to using most of it at that resolution!
1080p max settings, for every game just about, I haven't tried Metro, (but I will run it without the advanced DoF, which will give a nice performance boost)
