Have you researched your motherboard... can it not address more than 2gb or do you have any more ram slots. You said you have 2x1gb... maybe the motherboard only has 2 slots making it physically impossible to install more.

If you want o play game start by economy money ? and use that vista ultimate on a INTEL CORE 2 DUO ? or Quad. From 120$ to 500$ ? the price for Quad cpu
120-300$ (decent cpu)
you'r bottlenecking ur video card so bad and it won't be by adding 4GB OF RAM THAT YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERANCES by more then 2-5fps (that is only 3% increase gaming performances) for gaming rendering frame rate per second (that how game conception work more it as faster it load. it why you can play a gme of 1998 that used to tkae. 2 minute to load in a 2 second from now

i know what i'm saying i being playing wc3 with Amd Athelon 2600+ XP 2.2ghz if ir emember ? a Barton chipset.
it was equivalent to P4 2.6ghz. and then i switched to 4600x2. socket am2. the loading time went from 2 mintue to load Footmen Frenzy on wc3 user map made to 20 second and now with my new gear ? 10 second won't load faster
cause it won't use more speed from a single sata 320GB seagate. i bet i still load in top speed when you see playing loading
anyway back to ur problems it simply you need a better cpu / motherboard that cost as near as 200$ USA

PENTIUM D A WASTE OF money ! CHANGE THE MOBO ! U don't know nothing !
pentium d max cpu with overlcock is barely 25% better then a p4 max speed cause it not a true dual core architecutre with L2 Caches. while Am2 / Intel core 2 duo does economy money. get a nice 200$-250$ ? get a motherboard that as 4 Dims DDR2 if you want osmeting cheap but anything from Intel else then Pentium d is better even the CHEAPEST E2200 Overclock
but again waste of moeny when for 40$ more you get 60% better performances : then for 20$ more you get extra 30% perofmrances ? cause E2200 80$ : E8200 125$ : E8400 150$ E8500 180$ E8600 225$-245$
Q9550 255$ / Q9650 465$

and since this is a wall text. here picture EMBRACE THE KNOWLEDGE

Pretty sure you don't have to capitalise every word, just a side note there.

2 dimm mobos are the cheapest of the cheap bargain bin stuff, im on a budget and wouldnt touch 1 of them, far too limited and no room for expansion without changing the whole ram setup.

He is right, Pentium D's suck, they are not a true dual core like the Core 2 Duo's/AMD Athlon X2's, trust me he knows what he is talking about, your cpu is majorly holding you back, I have a Athlon 64 that probably ranks along with that P4 and its useless for modern gaming and with a Pentium D it wont get much better, you be better suffering on for a few months and buying a new 1 when you can afford everything.

Seriously dude, get a new mobo and either a core 2 duo or an AMD athlon 64 X2, or if you want to be real flash get a high end quad core.

anyway what im saying is. that Quad core is good in some game 1/5 of the game are better on Q9550 + overclocked max air cooling and are tough rivalised by E8500 max overclocked for air
