I have not bought the game myself - only the demo - but I just googled it and have read that there is a fair amount of swearing in it. They are just trying to use it to increase the dramatics of the game i suppose...I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Why do a few "bad words" bother you in a game where the sole purpose is to kill people? Does a four letter word offend you more than putting a bullet through someone's brain?

I don't really get it though: you don't mind shooting in games but no swearing?

Like you are aware that there is a fair amount of blood and dismemberment in this game aren't you?

i like it when my team shoots the enemy in the guts and then curse, its just natural that after you do some physical violence, you compliment it with verbal violence. i mean if you already killed the poor guy, why not say something about his mother, after all, he is dead because of her.

There's a hell of a lot of swearing, but it's contextually appropriate. The Brothers in Arms games don't glory up the war scenes like Medal of Honor and Call of Duty sometimes do, they show how down and dirty and gritty the whole concept truly is. At the very beginning of the game, there's a very emotionally moving war scene with some really heavy cursing that I feel perfectly conveys how horrible war actually is.

I am really looking forward to the third game in seeing what the updated technology allows them to do with the story. I hope they make it very emotional. I wish I had purchased the first BIA -- doesn't look like I will have the time to play it though.

I don't remember any myself. There might have been some in the cutscenes but I skip those generally.

If you want a game like that, I recommend you check out Soldier of Fortune 2. It's an extremely gorey game, perhaps even too much so. Limbs fly off left, right and center.

Swearing pales in comparison to violence, plain and simple. And yes, I believe the game does have a fair bit of swearing in it
