Going to be using either 4gb Ram or 8gb ram and a 500gb hard drive... (does it matter?) In other words what would be a good power supply for these items? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102918 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131730 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070

Corsair TX650 watt should be plenty, look at the 750 or 850 if your considering Crossfire.

Your about the spend $350 on a SINGLE pc part and you don't even know how it performs ? No offense but throwing that amount of money around for parts you know little about isn't smart

Yes, you will be able to play most games with max settings at 1920x1080 with a single HD 6970.

I knew it would perform well... But I didn't know compared to bf3 or other games.

Also had a question I plan on using two monitors and was wondering if having two monitors puts a lot more stress on your computer or does it require the computer to need more power...? ( I will be playing only one game at a once of course)

1 game on 2 monitors or 1 game on 1 monitor?

If your using both monitors to game, you will need Crossfire in the future, assuming the res of both monitors is above 1080P.

A 6970 is a high-end card, on 1080p you can pretty much max out any game. 650w psu is enough if you ain't gonna crossfire two of them.

Since have two monitors does that mean I will not be able to max out most games or what, does it add a lot more stress on on the desktop even if I am playing the game on one monitor and browsing the internet with the other? Also should I need to get 8gb RAM? or is this not necessary?

If you are gaming on 1 monitor, thats fine, I thought you were gaming on dual monitors, that tasks any single GPU.

Get 4GB for now, if you are regularely hitting 4GB limit, then you need 8GB.

If your going to be gaming a good 600watt PSU with the right amps is the best thing for a single high end/mid range GPU setup. If you want to crossfire in future then get a 750/800/850 silver or gold rated PSU depending on what GPU you are planning on buying.

Single GPU PSU's:

Bronze+ Efficiency rating and make sure you have the right amps for the higher end cards.

  • 450-500watt = GTX 550Ti, GTS 450, HD 6850, HD 5770
  • 500-600watt = GTX 560Ti/GTX570, GTX 460/GTX470, HD 6870/6950, HD 5870/5850
  • 600-700watt = GTX 580, GTX 480, HD 6970
  • 750-800watt = GTX 590, HD 6990

Crossfire/SLI PSU's:

Silver+ Efficiency rating and double check the amps required for the cards in all tiers and only go with the recommended PSU brands.

  • 700-800watt = SLI 560Ti, 570, 460, 470. Crossfire 6950, 6870, 6970, 5850, 5870, 5770
  • 800-900watt = SLI 580, 480
  • 1000+ watt = SLI 590. Crossfire HD 6990.

PSU brands recommended:

  • Antec
  • Corsair
  • OCZ
  • Seasonic
  • Zalman
  • Be Quiet!
  • Cooler Master
  • XFX
