Maybe $700 since pretty much everything is "outdated" (technically speaking)... and it has been used for 5 months... It is a good rig that will max most things... So at least $700... But if he won't budge, $800 is a semi-good price...

I think $800 is right on the money for that build. The processer will last ages and the GTX280 has probably got another good 2 or 3

years in it before it will need to be replaced.

That's actually not a bad price since it includes 2 hard drives (especially the Western Digital Raptor). The 280 GTX actually isn't that far off in performance next to a 275 or 285 GTX. Plus the 790i chipset is the best Nvidia chipset for LGA 775. So overall I'd say it's a decent price. Just see if you can go over to the guys house and check it out to make sure that there is nothing wrong with it.

Well since you have Quad SLI and 2 1TB Hard Drives then that certainly adds some value to your system. I'd say $850-$900 (actually it's probably worth more than that but it depends on what people are willing to pay)

$800 is a great deal for that rig. Don't be a dick and demand $700. You can't build a complete $800 rig to compete with that. It being used makes nearly no difference, 5 months is VERY little time.

Exactly! I'm glad you brought that up! And Nvidia fans will be drooling over the Quad SLI configuration!

I think you are talking about the 2nd system in the post, and he was talking about the first. 2x 9800GX2 is powerful, but it lacks memory bandwith when compared to alot of GT200/ATI 4xxx/5xxx series multi-GPU setups. It's not a good bang-for-the-buck anymore.
