mine is about 3 years old and im gonna make a replacement my graphic card is still new.
ill makea comp fo$260 thats in stores for like $2000 if i know how to make comps its really cheap.
Mine is close to hitting the two year mark (Come february08 it will be 2 years old) and all it needs is an upgrading GFX card. It came with a Nvidia 6800 (think, forget now) and i upgraded it about 6 months ago to a Nvidia 7900, now im thinking of getting a Nvidia 8800 for games like Crysis and other such legendary titles.
Other than the GFX card my PC is a beast!
My computer is 4 years old now and still running strong. I have only upgraded the video card, PSUand hard drive space. I figure I can still wait another year to upgrade to a new system with Vista. I can still play most modern games with fairly good graphical settings. I plan to keep my old computer even after I get a new one, with a new power supply in a few years, it should last for 4 more years. I would love to upgrade my old system, but older parts seem to be getting more and more expensive.
ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (Barton Core)
2x512MB DDR333 (PC2700)
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
80+160+250+320GB HDD
Mine is a little over 2 years old I think, it still plays all the games I own well(except Gothic3), but it does need a small upgrade.
It now has A64 3000+, 6600GT, 2Gb DDR and I might sacrifice 300e to upgrade it to something like 64x2 4200+ and X1950XT, just too bad that 939 CPUs are getting really expensive these days, I would be almost better off getting a new mobo and Core2Duo ..and then I need new Ram and a new PSU which basically means a whole new rig ..so I'm a bit annoyed that my "future proof rig" proved out to be not so future proof afterall...
2 years .. i think.
i need a new graphics card... and ram.. and processor.. and hard disk ... and evrything else :|
