If you haven't signed the agreement, choose another video card. That one is unbalanced compared to the rest, and wastes VRAM that is never used, which is bad for the environment. They add extra RAM just to get you to buy their card, not because it's usable on a 128 bit card. You can use 256 MBs with a 128 bit memory system by swapping blocks of textures, but that's the max it will use in a game.

Vista is still problematic for a lot of hardware, and there are many examples of Oblivion acting badly when matched up to it; for the time being, to be totally certain of Oblivion running, get WindowsXP. Here's a much better video card choice, at $110 after the MIR, 256 MBs, X1950 GT:

2gb of ram ismorethan enough for Oblivion and you will save some money for a better graphic card like 7900GS or x1950Pro

if you really like Oblivion, maybe consider a 8600GT as well, 8600GT performs better than both 7900GS and x1950pro in Oblivion

No no thats not enough, you need a custom manufactured computer with hundreds of threaded graphic cores running at 10 or 20ghz each.
