So I've had a craving to play Red Alert 2 recently and am not sure how to get a copy. I'm living in China right now and don't really want to have to wait 2 weeks for a copy to get shipped here but Steam, direct2download and GOG - and as far as I can tell Amazon - don't offer Red Alert 2 in their catalogues. I am looking for an online/download solution btw. Suggestions?

You won't find it digitally, but C&C The First Decade should be easy to find almost in any country.

I wish. Most games here are fake and not that easy to find even then.

I love Red Alert 2, definatly the best RTS ever. But if you want to buy it I'd try the First Decade, it got all the Westwood classics

In many asian countries people sell bootlegged copies, essentially someone will pirate several games, put it on as many CD as they can, print out a equal amount of boxart, put them in a plastic case and sell it on the streets. It's illegal of course but for many countires that rely on Tourism they tend to turn a blind eye to it as some wouldn't mind paying 1$ for three games, Or DVD. On topic however, Unless you can find a legitimate store that could have it on the shelf or in a bargain bin. You might have to order it from E-bay,Amazon or another site that does international shipping and ship it to you. It might be easier to find Command and Conquer : The First Decade though then just Red Alert 2.

That's illegal. It's not abandonware as it is still sold as a part of Command &Conquer: The First Decade. Please don't suggest pirating to people. Also, 2000 is not THAT old....

Not really since EA is still making Red Alert games. They have a vested interest in putting a hold on copyright infringement, though most companies don't enforce it in China since the country isn't cooperative.

He wasn't suggesting the guy pirate it, his suggestion was under the assumption that it was abandonware, which is totally legal to copy as much as you want.

but it's not abandonware, so it's pirating. He should do some research before suggesting to download a game without paying for it.
