Hi, I don't know if this has been asked, I tried searching both on the forums and the Internet with no luck.

How do you setup multiple consoles for the audience to see the carnage? Example: 2v2 Halo 3 with 1 station (console, tv, audio) per team plus projector for audience.

I know with PCs, you can spectate on another computer to display what is happening on a screen for all to see, but can it be done for XB 360, PS2/3, Wii?

You would need a component video or hdmi splitter.

I can see the splitter work for 1v 1 games like fighting sims, but I don't see how it will work for games that are larger. Like Halo 3's 2v2 and 4v4 slayer tournaments.

Maybe I am not seeing it right in my head to follow.

In it's simplest form this means that you would need a splitter box for both consoles. These would then be fed into the projector and displays and you would need to switch the inputs to see what's going on (that or two projectors). I don't think you can do it any other way unless you can have a third console and spectate the game and output that consoles feed to the projector. I guess this would give you control over what you are seeing on the battlefield but not from the players' perspective.
