Ok, I've been wanting a laptop, however I do not know how to connect or get internet for the laptop once purchased. Can someone explain to me how this works?
Exactly the same as on any other computer. Setup wireless or wired networking/internet. Seriously if you need to ask these kind of questions it might be time to buy a book about computing basics.
Assuming you have a desktop with an internet connection (since you're here) all you need to do is get a wireless router. It's too complex for me to type out the instructions but there's plenty on the internet. Just google it (ie. how do i set up a wireless router). Plus the router probably has setup instructions inside.

If you don't have a wireless router already, then purchase one when you get your laptop. Instructions to set it up will be inside the box. No internet searching required. On top of that, your laptop will (get ready for this!) let you know that a wireless network is detected. A bubble in the lower right corner of the screen will show up, all you have to do is click it and you'll know what to do after that assuming you set up your router yourself. Select the right SSD and put your security password in, click connect.
