I don't play anymore, but from my experience those earlier levels pretty much are the way that they are. You basically just do all the quests and move from area to area. Since you're a paladin, once you get into the 30's you can spec protection and AoE grind mass amounts of monsters all at once, which will help you level faster (an in-depth guide to Prot grinding can probably be found on the WoW Paladin forums or just by googling it). I think the key thing is to just make sure you're doing quests; trying to grind your way through levels is inefficient.
Just do quests and instances, it will probaly take you a month or so to hit the max lvl depending on how much you play, so don't expect it to be real fast

This made me lol. You understand that even if you can only play for so long your XP doesn't get taken away right? So even though you're a slow leveler every XP counts. I have a social life and I'm level 65. It's not like if I didn't play every weekend they'd delete my charector.
