I don't think you will be able to.....maybe at its lowest settings.....I wouldn't waste 50bucks on the game to try and play it on a laptop

There is a Crysis benchmark that gives you a decent estimate of what frame rates would be at difference settings.

Thanks, I'll google that. :)

Edit* I downloaded that bechmark tool, but it seemed that I needed the Cysis game installed on my pc(which didn't make sense but oh well)

But I finished downloading the Crysis demo, so I am gonna see how it plays. I will post my results.

Okay, my laptop will definately run Crysis. Here are the results from running the demo:

Low settings-45-55fps (1280x1024)

Med settings- 18-22fps (1280x1024)

High settings-9-10fps (1280x1024)

Very High settings- 5-6fps (1280x1024)

I was quite impressed myself, any comments?

the full game with patches runs a fair bit better than the demo, so you should be good for a mix of medium and high settings if you decide to get it.

You would get better results if you had a better processor. Crysis is pretty cpu dependent. I have a mix of low, medium, and high settings on 1440x900 and I would say average of about 35-40 fps. On 1024x768 I average of about 50-60 fps with everything on medium except physics on high.

So yeah the game will run fine on low, at mediun run like cr*p, but if you go mixed low-medium you could pull 30-25fps which is playable.

Im not impressed even tho your laptop is quite powerfull, laptops is not the best way to go if you want steady FPS in crysis, but most other games will probably go just fine at high ingame settings.

Thanks for the comments. I was impressed with the results because I'm using a laptop, but I don't think I will buy the game until after I build a nice custom desktop, which who knows when that will be, probably sometime this fall.
