Hi, after many days of looking for a suitable laptop to fit my needs - I've found this.

How well will it run most games? Like Bioshock, Fallout 3/ any new games (doesn't have to be high quality). - I know its not the most amazing laptop, yet its what I can afford.

Here's the specs:

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor P7450 (2.13Ghz, 3MB, 1066MHz)

Black Leather back cover : 15.6" (inch) Truelife 1080p Full HD WLED Edge to Edge Display

1GB ATI® Radeon™ HD 4670 graphics card

4096MB 1067MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]

320GB Free Fall Sensor (7200RPM) Hard Drive

Please don't recommend a desktop, or say I should get one instead - I need it for my own reasons, so i just want to know how well this one will run games.

Also, does it matter too much that my processer is only 2.13 GHz, - its the cheapest I can find and I can't really afford any higher - so does it make much of a difference when playing games?

Thanks

It should run Bioshock on high at anything 1280x1024 and lower and Fallout 3 on rather high settings that card is good.

What other games could it run? And how about Crysis - what detail could it run that on?

- PS: I don't have the laptop yet, that's why im not sure.

This Gateway is cheaper and overall better, this is my recommendation. Dell maybe has warranty on Gateway because I'm not sure what Gateway's is like.

Crysis probably on medium. If you wanna run it on high you'd need to get at least a laptop with a 9800/GTS 260 or higher.

Thanks for your answer, Does Crysis still look good on medium settings? (Sorry I have no idea).

Ouch UK, nuff said. :P Honestly if you bought that laptop here and got it shipped over via African Swallow, it would be a steal!

Yes. It looks "good" at any setting compared to most games.

4670 is about as 8800GT/GTS and I ran BioShock on 1680x1050 at all high no problems...

Thanks

Well that processor is alittle better then mine and I believe your graphics card is too. See specs in my sig. I can run all my games at 1366x768 max res for my laptop and I run fallout 3 at high with 4xAA and 6xAF/ANI, Farcry 2 I have maxed out with 2xAA and Crysis I have on all high with no AA. I'm also running Need for speed shift at all high with 4xAA and 4xAF. Here is a video of some games on it if your interested. The video quality is a little fuzzy because of the conversion to youtube but you get the point it's still in hd. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBtPUPtwsaQ

that's a terrible choice unless you only want a desktop replacement. the dell can run most games on medium to high settings and still is fairly small and will run for a few hours on battery.
