How will this run Bioshock? I play Farcry 3 with medium settings at around 35 frames. Can I get it now or should I wait for my new rig in june? Thank you.

As any console port, as long as your pc isn't a ancient prehistoric thing that is older than the Xbox 360, it will run it fine even with everything on max.
You are clueless troll. The game is running heavy DX11 effects on the PC version and even in my rig I can't run it on Ultra with 30+ FPS avg. Granted I have only bumped down two sliders one notch to smooth things out I'm now well over 40 avg. Regardless, with a 650 GTX and that CPU you can probably run it on high and maybe very high on some settings at 1080p.As any console port, as long as your pc isn't a ancient prehistoric thing that is older than the Xbox 360, it will run it fine even with everything on max.

Off the top of my head i know that it uses contact hardening shadows + Ambient occlusion and DX11 DOF effects there may be more though but hes right Infinite is sporting some high end PC effects + just everything is of a higher quality in gerneral from the texture resolution to the AA and what not so yeah i wouldnt say that any ol pc can max it. The TC's rig can run it but hes probably gonna have to scale a few things back but it will still look and run great.

Awesome news! I was going to wait for a sale but since the awesome reviews... I'm tempted.

its def worth the full price
I was on the fence before, but now that I've read your thorough analysis of the game, I'm sold. Or maybe I'll wait for it to go on sale or they'll just give it away in a few months with their next game (ala XCOM and Civilization V)The DX11 DOF effects kicks my OCed 570 GTX in the nuts, I lose about 20FPS on that one. I bumped it down to normal and the game now rarely drops below 40 FPS. Probably wont get much better in the near future since the current nvidia drivers are already heavily optimized for Infinite.

DOF? I would like to run it at medium settings with 45 fps. Is that  possible on my rig?

Well that was an exaggeration of course but bioshock just like all unreal 3 based games are rather light on hardware ( and well optimized ) and a mid-low end gaming gpu like a 650ti or a 7770 will have no problems to play it at close to max settings at 30-40fps ( bar a couple of settings such as AA and DOF of course )[QUOTE="Flubbbs"][QUOTE="frankopan"]

oh ok
The game definitely has some effects that you won't be able to use with that system, but it'll run great, at settings that look better than the console versions for sure. I'm on a laptop with a dual core i5, 4gb RAM, and an ATI (yes, it's that old) 4670 1gb. I put textures at ultra, because even if I have to turn down other things, I like to have the most detailed textures I can get, and I can usually max them in any game. The rest is on medium, AA is on, and 720p res. I can't get fraps to work, so I'm not sure exactly, but it feels plenty smooth. I'd guess 40+ fps on average.

Absolutely. You'll probably be able to put most things on high. My GPU is considerably weaker than yours, and I'm getting 30+ fps at mostly medium, ultra textures, 720p. It's unreal engine 3. Infinite is one of the best looking, and probably one of the most demanding UE3 games, but it's still UE3. The engine is ancient, and has been wonderfully optimized over the years.
How will BioShock Infinite run on this machine?
Intel Core i7 2.30GHz (3.30GHz Turbo Boost 2.0), 6MB L3 Cache
AMD Radeon HD 7600M Series 1GB DDR3
8GB DDR3 1600MHz Memeory
Realtek High Definition Audio
MS Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1s-e-e-k
I'm not too great with AMD's GPU's (not completely sure where certain models sit, in terms of performance), but I'd assume you'll be able to max it out no problem.
I'm alittle bit weary about buying Bio-infinite when I can't even get games like the first Crysis to run on full. Though I can play Max Payne 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 on high but not totally maxed (close tho).

Even Cryengine 2 (Crysis 1) is far more advanced than UE3. Believe me, if you can run Crysis 1  at all  you won't have any trouble running Infinite near max. My laptop gets like 25 fps in Crysis 1 at mostly low settings, but I run Infinite at medium/high, with textures on ultra, and get 40ish, no problem.

My GTX 570 is able to max Bioshock Infinite out just fine with over 30fps.
