How's Champions Online?

I've been interested in it for awhile, just a few questions, how's the combat? How does it play? (Instance based or fully open etc) How is the community? And how much does the subscription cost? And the main question, is it good?

Hmmm i'm fairly interested in this game too.Any feedback would be nice!A friend of mine that joined the beta told me it's definitely worth playing and that it's a little different than more mmos.It's more action oriented.Anyway we'll know soon :)

The game is fun, the web-slinging travel power is great.

Fast paced, action. If you stick with the game I only see it getting better and better.

I'm waiting a few months to start though, trying Aion first. I'll be in CO at some point though.

well the game was horrible (for me) when I tried the beta. Now it seems they did a failtacular move and nerfed everyone on launch day making everyone angry. I would wait a week or 2 if I were you ;)Franko_3

What exactly was horrible about the beta? I mean, I've been playing the game for the past several hours, and so far, I'm loving it. Kind of reminds me of a cross between City of Heroes and Tabula Rasa.

As for the mass nerfing, of course it'll make everybody angry. Apparently, everybody was massively overpowered and needed to be brought down to maintain even the slightest bit of challenge to the game. So, I would say that the nerfing was warranted.

tl;dr Great if you can run it and are looking for a faster gameplay in a MMO.

After watching the guys at Giant Bomb play it I got interested in it too. I missed the beta and I'm hesitant to buy another MMO. Does anyone know if there is a free trial or something?capthavic

No free trial (not even a friend trial key when you buy the game). However, I did manage to find the game for $29 due to a labeling error at a department store (Fred Meyer) that's right by me...
