Hello, i put together a build for my new pc =) What do u think is it alright?

Asus P5Q Deluxe Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI

Antec Twelve Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case

Corsair (TWIN2X2048-6400C4) 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2 6400 PC Memory

Kingston 1GB Kit (2x512MB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 - CL5 - Non-ecc

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500

CPU Cooler Master Hyper TX2 775/754/939/940/AM2

Zalman ZM850-HP 850W ATX 2.2

2x Samsung SpinPoint F1 750GB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM

Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10000RPM SATA 16MB Cache - OEM

I heard it's a good m/b, good reviews, few minor issues. I'll get a second 4870 and crossfire them later on. Running XP hence the 3GB ram. It won't matter if the manufactuer's are diffrent will it? There's a SATA-II version of the Raptor out there, boost the transfer rate from 1.5GB to 3GB. Do u think it would make a significant diffrence that i should opt to get that version instead? If there's anything i've missed out on or u got some advice for me plz mention! =)

Yea it looks ok but imo if you where to do some or alot of gaming you may want to get 2gb of ram. So that it would run faster and trans fer data better.

My Mom she has a 1gb of ram in her pc and it keeps most of the time at 100% usage of the pc and so I keep on trying to tell her to get 1 more 1gb of ram but she keeps on telling me that she don't have enough. When really they are quite cheap these days.

It won't matter if the manufactuer's are diffrent, still work but try the same manufactur for stability... SATA-II and SATA have no difference... You've missed 2 thing, DVD/RW and the OS... ah just kidding, it's awesome build... I rate 9.5/10

looks good, but why do you have a 850w PSU? that is WAY overkill. Even 600 will be more than enough

Correct me if im wrong, im quoting someone else who helped me with the build. 4870 is around 280 watts under full load in crysis. In crossfire it's more then 560, if the cpu is under load thats like another 100 watts and then theres the 3 hdd's to take into account too. Also 850 provides enough for further expansion.

3HDD only takes 30-40watt, so with HD4870 crossfire your PC consume around 700watt...

Motherboard is nice if you don't care about saving money.

Card is great.

Case is nice but the Antec 900 is more than enough and could save you 80-100 bucks.

2GB of Corsair is good.

Instead of hte e8500, grab a Q6600. It can be overclocked to 3.6Ghz and is future proof.

PSU is nice and so is the hard drive.

I'm running Vista x64 Ultimate. Runs a lot more stable than XP Pro SP3.

If your budget allows for a Raptor and a full tower case, then you should invest in an X48 motherboard for max Crossfire performance.
