How's the population in Chivalry: Medieval Warfare?

I've been watching this game very closely and now that the sales have come I really want to pick it up.

My only concern is the population of the online community. Do many people play? Are there always full servers? Do you think the game will hold its playerbase?

Feel free to throw in any opinions about the game Id love to hear them, Im a huge mount and blade fan and Im hoping its like that in terms of combat.

The population is excellent. There are several 64 player servers that usually have at least over 40 people each and fill up sometimes. Also many 32 and 48 player games that have tons of people in them. The game should maintain its population too as the devs are adding new content periodically.

It's loaded. Was just playin an hour ago, and it was the most full I've ever seen it. About 3 dozen servers, supporting 24-64 players, all full. And piles upon piles of other servers, with at least a handful of people in em.

Yes the community is great and very active and with a big content patch in January the game will stay strong.
