[QUOTE="TheCrazed420"][QUOTE="ct1615"] [QUOTE="NoAssKicker47"]Now, people, can you please tell me, is The Witcher a good place to start with RPGs?ct1615
depends, if you like the Role Play in RPG's then no. the witcher is rather linear with it's character and game-play.
games like Mass Effect, KOTOR I &II, Jade Empire, and Fable are better places to start.
While I do agree somewhat on the linearity of the game, I do think it did a good job in terms of roleplaying your character.
Its one of the better games in recent years to have given the player real decisions that truly affect the outcome of the quest at hand, or the overall plot. I loved how sometimes the effects of your decisions we're immediately apparent, and sometimes you didnt see the effects until a few chapters later. Big + in terms of replayability.

:lol::lol::lol:
the witcher is nothing but a failure to actual roleplaying. an epic failure! you can't chose your sex, race, looks, background, or class! so how can you roleplay??? it's an action RPG in gameplay and choices but not in the actual ability to make a character you want! the witcher is a storied action game in RPG clothing, a bad one at that.
you are such a witcher fan boy noob that your comments are beyond fan boy praise, they are comical!!!!
yeah becuae who in the world would want to be a badass monster slayer who can get chicks even though hes ugly as hell.. :roll:
Just because you cant choose your class/race or w/e doesnt mean you cant roleplay, you just need to PLAY the ROLE of an ancient monster slayer. Hence why its called a ROLE PLAYING GAME. If you have even gotten at leat mid way in the game you would understand why. If you think that choosing a class and being able to buy "T3H l33t armours!!" makes a game an RPG than you need to expand your list of games from just oblivion and WoW.
