alright, i plan on getting a Q6600, I already got a HD4850, and im getting 4GB of corsair RAM. I may do some overclocking in the future, but nothing huge. And i will most likely not do Xfire. Is this a good mobo for me? Please suggest others if not.

thanks in advance

It's decent. I would reccomend an X38 or X48 mobo.

but if you don't want those ones the one you have, should be able to run it.

That's a pretty good motherboard.

-Don't want to Crossfire: P35/P45 with 1 pci-e slot

-Not sure about Crossfire: P35/P45 with 2 pci-e slots

-Sure about doing Crossfire: X38/X48

If you don't mind wich of these 2 mobos would do good with a e8400 cpu and I don't want a sli or crossfire or quad I just want to know wich is better cause I'm on a tight budget.

Intel lga 775 intel p965 express atx or Biostar tforce tp35d2 lga 775 p35 and I saw this on newegg.

You dont think crossfiring in the future, but what if you finally decide to?
The x38/48 would be the best choices since they are not bottlenecked by 8/8 lines the p45 provide.

Get a P35 motherboard, P965 right out of the box doesn't support 45 nm cpus like the E8400 (or maybe the late P965 versions do, i'm not sure). You'd have to install a 65 nm cpu and update the mobo firmware and then remove the cpu and install the E8400, that's not very convenient.

No it isn't. Thanks. I didn't know that it didn't support the e8400 chip. That will save me the trouble. So then I should go for a p35 mobo. Ok I'll do that and try and find a cheap one of those.

Ok I'll look at it a bit more but what do you think of the Biostar mobo one. That one is a p35 and as I said before I'm trying to stay cheap and so that Biostar looks to be cheap buy I'll do some more research on it.

Just want to know what do you think of the mobe. I know most people like the Gigabyte and the Asus mobos but they are a bit much for me.

I'm trying to save up enough money so that I can get both mobo and cpu at the same tim.

Sorry But I kind of figured that it was dumb to ask what mobo is better then the other by doing another subject but I'm done now.
