HP laptop VS Alienware laptop

I went and customized both laptops as similarly as i could spec wise.

They both have:

2.2 Ghz Dual core 4mb cache

2GB of RAM

Vista home edition-this is unclear since HP offers 32bit and 64 bit iterations, alienware doesnt say...

HP has free upgrade to 240 GB HDD, alienware with 160GB

The HP comes with an 8600, whereas the alien comes with a 7950

and their totals

Alienware:2249

HP:1372...

Now there is no way that graphics card is accounting for nearly a 1000 dollar difference, is there any real reason to consider an alienware with such a giant price gap?

I sell an HP with the 8600 in it and it runs UT3 amazing. Its even better than most of the desktops i sell.

BTW the model i sell is the DV 9644 for $1199.99 CDN. (2 gigs ram, 200 gb hdd, forget the model but its the core 2 duo anyway)

And for kicks i went out an customized an XPS as similarly as these two, and its more expensive than the alienware...but doesnt dll own alienware?
