Well, the thing is, technology isn't linear and getting 'better' in one area doesn't guarantee you'll get better in another area, and also those aliens are from an utterly different environment to ours and their technologies are - like our technologies - presumably built to counter their own technologies.
They are more advanced than us in some areas, but that doesn't mean they could anticipate our technologies and how to counter them, or that their own technologies would naturally counter our own. Besides, didn't the alien spaceship crash on our planet? They didn't even intend to land on our planet.
Humans have the home terrain advantage.
For all we know, they don't have the materials to take advantage of their super advanced technology.
Yeah, it doesn't make much sense, but it was meant to make for better gameplay.

[QUOTE="Myrkan"]Something I noticed in Crysis. These aliens are suppose to be a super advanced race, right? Yet they are incredibly weak compared to a human in a nanosuit. A human in a nanosuit can take down at least 5 of the small aliens in exosuits, and maybe two of the larger exosuits that fly around, and it takes about a platoon of humans in nanosuits to take down a giant exosuit. And Nomad took down the giant alien ship basically by himself, he had some Vtol support and a prototype weapon, but he took it down. I just think its a little odd that they designed it like this. I thought the aliens were supposed to be super advanced all powerful, right?thenewau25
WTF ARE YOU NUTS? EVERY TIME A KOREAN SHOOT YOU 1 HIT THE SHIELD IS GETTING DISABLED HOW THE CRYSIS GRAPHICAL SHAKE IS THE NANOSUIT TOUGHER THAN ALIEN EXOSKELETON?
Am I the only one that doesn't understand anything this guy posts?

dude seriously just because you can defeat an alien boss doesnt mean nanosuits are tougher the nanosuits are anything than heavilly defended! this dude doestn make sense the nanosuit isnt eg halo shield the big super duper mega hunter can be defeated only thanks too blockbuster helena's signal, so what the he is talking about?
in a simple explanation if the marines can killl the freaking annoying koreans, they pawn the 1000 years old alien robots, eg the alien ectomorphs were tougher inside the core level, ok game doesnt make sense lets stop trying to prove evrysingle inch of crysis 100 perfect, but again it makes no sence how one trooper kills so many enemies so lets drop it, the only thing i wanna say i thinkg koreans are tougher for me than aliens!
Wutbangell99
am saying its a game some stuff are not making sense but seriously that you have to strangle to defeat a boss by your own because its the last boss doesnt mean the nanosuit is better the player is better, if we start analyze this we should start to analyze why the armor takes only one hit for the bar to run out, what kinda of MAXIMUM defensive shield is this?
Well if this sheild let you absorb dozens of bullets, you wouldn't need to use tactics at all - you could just walk around shooting everything. This isn't Halo.
i totaly agree with u.aliens are too damn weak in this game, and nomad is kicking their butts too easily.it would be cooler if they had some more advanced weapons, instead freeze ray,so they could be greater threat to nomad, but noooooo, they have some alien stuff, and they think they can rule over the earth, but only one''Maximum Strenght''will wipe'em all out.i think that aliens are madden weaker on purpose, cause u can take down that big octopuss with 3 shots of GAUSS GUN,and he cant take u down cause those frozen bullets are to weak to penetrate exoshield.but however that crysis is fantastic, and all korean slaughter with Psycho,Prophet,Nomad and Co. is too damn intresting........hrkljoosh
exactly, the koreans are more dangerous than aliens so the game doesnt make sense? does that need that it has to be harder at this point? cuz YOU find it easy, or all outher flaws, give it a break crysis has a high amount of unbalances and incionvinieces that dont make sense so it wont ever be explained let it be and stop with all that perfect game cuz as you see there are no logical explantations for the flaws, if you dont see the flaws you are not concerned like i dont care on how is it possible to kill them easily, and i concern on how one shot is disabling the shield, but that might sound logical to you and not too me so NOTHING makes sense , nomad can take them down because its a blockbuster end of story!
how does Gordon Freeman stave off an entire invasion twice with a crowbar??!?!?
how does the doom marine defeat hell?
at least Crysis had some seriously cool gimmicks and ideas.

exactly and on how gordon or doom kills em all simple because they dont have ideas its just that unlike crysis the character is tough!

I guess I'd have to agree that the aliens werent planning on fighting on this planet, and the nanosuit is really the only thing that stands a chance against them. As people have been saying, they are more advanced in some areas, but weaker in others.
I just thought it was wierd how a race that focuses on exosuits for battle, has less advanced onces than the humans have. It take a ton of large exosuits to take down a much smaller human in an nanosuit.
Going back to the freeze-ray though, as I said before they probably didnt expect any other species to have technology similar to theirs.
Okay, my brain is hurting trying to understand that.

You're not the only one. If I were you, don't bother reading it. It's not worth the headache because the content contained within his terrible writing isn't anything logical.

Don't worry. I have no idea what he said either. Something about graphics shaking, shields, koreans and skelentons. *Shrug*.
