hello all i have had a feeling that i have been being spyed on for some time now . i think it is by my mother as well . i got this pc with my own money . but i share it with my mom cus she pays for the net . but she seems to know about everything i do on the pc . i delte all my histroy and i dont keep chat records . but some how she always knows when i am going out with my gf . as soon as i get up i hear my mom say " jordy are you going out with abie" . so i was wondering what ways can she spy on me ? by spyware on my pc ? or by watching all the net traffic ? i do spyware cans all the time does not seem to help . what you guys think ?
Well, maybe she can turn invisible and watches you as you type? Ok, sorry, that probably didn't make you feel better. Try borrowing another HD and installing a fresh copy of Windows, do your stuff, and see if anything got installed on your PC. Basically try using a system uptime monitor and turn off your computer when you are done. That way, you will know if your mom did somethign to your computer or something. But if you get it fixed, I'm siggin' this.

create a new user account, put password on it, then its impossible for her to spy on you unless she know your password. also, she might be a computer expert on networkin and stuff and know everything site you went in by the logged file. try to disable on the router.
i am 17 almost an adult its my pc she does not have the right to install or downloaf anything to it . i let her use my pc just for chating and the net .

search for all the free spyware and adaware cleaners and use them to. Also you could check to see what programs are installed on youre PC.

click start go to the controll panel (if it says pick catagory in the upper right hand corner click Switch to classic view) then double clic k on add or remove programs. its usually at the top of the pageÂ

She could just know that you are meant to be seeing someone be normal means. If she was spying to you, why would she then come out and imply that this was the case, by asking if you are meant to be seeing someone?

I think most parents nowadays are smart enough to know that their son's look at porn in private.
Is their a free program that you can use to copy keystrokes as well? Because my mom is doing the same thing and I think if I could go on to her one e-mail I could see what program she is using and then find a way to disable it or just delete all the e-mails she gets from the program.

Also, I did try looking for any suspicious programs/ files already but I am assuming it's one of those new programs where they can hide themselves and not be declared a "virus" or keylogger because I know it's on there but nothing comes up. Not even under security task manager.
I was reading this PC magazine at CompUSA coupla years ago, and they mentioned this program a parent can use "anywhere" to monitor the IM conversations, and websites visited, too bad I don't remember the name..

If I was in your shoes, I'd start searching the net for ways of harming your parent. *AS A JOKE* and see how long it takes her to confront you. If nothing happens, you're not being watched.
that program may be slowing down your PC. check your add/remove programs for any suspicious programs, and then uninstall them353535355353535
keyloggers usualy doesnt appear on the add/remove list, neither on the taskmanager. Delete cookies, deleted the history, run the free HDD program (my winxp is on spanish in english it must be called like that) all programs>accesories>system tools>..... and check all options excluding compress old files (again dont know the exact name in english).

Buy yourself a copy of what ever OS you are using and reformat. I recommend you try the tools above. I recommend you get a bigger hard drive, clone your current hard drive and get a free version of Linux for your own surfing / chatting needs.
