Any gigabyte and asus board will have decent overclocking abilities but I would not recommend buying into the dead lga775 platform with a new socket just around the corner. If you can't wait for the i3/i5 go for a amd system. the althlon 2 x2 250 is a great budget chip or for a bit more there is the phenom 2 x2.

ASUS P5QL is the one i use, and I also have an e5200. The version I have is Asus P5QL SE (£50) but there are better versions for £60 and £70.
