I am so sick of hearing about game piracy.

Why is it that every PC gamer now talks about PC game piracy? I mean its been their for years and now people start to notice it? Im so sick of hearing this rubbish out of Publishers, developers, PC gamers, and CONSOLE gamers. Really the games are gonna sell fine even with piracy so people should just quit their *****ing and just enjoy playing/making the games.

If you look very closely, This resembles the music industry through and through. Overzealous publishers are ruining the PC market because they release sub standard products. There are over 5 billion people in this world and plenty of room fo a PC gaming market. Consoles are not the only option here, Its far from immune to piracy. How many folks have mod chips in there respective consoles ?

The law is to blame here for this problem. Piracy can be beaten with a harsher view, Imagine you got ten years in jail if you got caught with pirated goods. That would solve the problem very well indeed.

there will always be some form of piracy, but in some places they jack up the price because they say say they have to get the money somehow but here the minimum for a new game is about $100 which is about $77 American. i find it cheaper to import the the games here, last game i bought it was $110, got it imported and it was only $62 (and that was just the other day)

i personally don't see anything wrong with piracy because there are games i've bought which weren't worth what i payed and if its a good game i will buy it legitimately
