Guys Did you know About batman Arkham asylem PC Version Is leaked, and its a Direct2Drive Version

I am really sad becasue the game is great and this leaking will devrease the sales of the PC Version and that is not supproting PC.

Screw you ******* Pirates, Thanks For Ruining PC Gaming, When i was checking the Information yeseterday I liked one sentence:

"If you like the game buy it, Support these Compnanies" OMG They are the ones whos destorying the companies for me I will not download it although I am a huge Fan of the Batman Series but I'll be the game for 50$ Even that I know that is not helping PC ( I mean me is not going to help Rocksteady with my 50 $) But at least they did a Great port of the game and is not crappy as manyGames ( last one Bionic Commando ).

PC Gaming is Dying I canbt deny that ( I've been a PC gamer since the last 9 years ) and I will not abandon it till the End of something Called PC Games,

or maybe when These devolpers figure it something and Piracy.

I am really pissed of Piracy.

While I share your disdain for people who pirate software, I'll have to ask that in the future you fully obscure any of the words that are censored on this site.

I think you may be overreacting just a tad bit...

Yes, its leaked yes it sucks but its not gonna change who was gonna buy it and who wasn't and who was going to buy the game...

Did you think by some chance the game wasn't going to be pirated?

and i think its worse that your avertising that there is a leaked version out there

Reality check:

1. All games will be pirated. There will never ever be a "hack-proof" game, as even the strongest armor has its weakest link. Even MMOs are, and the existence of private servers (no matter how junky they may be) allows players to avoid the monthly fee.

2. Piracy actually has a less substanial effect on gaming than is assumed. Stats showing sales are going to digital distribution where we cannot track the sales as the companies running the DD services don't give away their sale records very easily.

3. Whenever a company blames piracy as a lack of sales, they're using it as a scapegoat to avoid one (or more) of these three things:

1. The game had really high system requirements.

2. The game sucked.

3. The game had a ton of DRM.

4. PC gaming is not dying nor has it ever. PC gaming is the largest gaming community in the world when looking on a global scale. Yes, console gaming makes more money, but the standards are far lower and long-lasting games barely exist (Think of StarCraft 1, Diablo 2, CS, TF2, BF2, WoW to understand what I mean). Also, look at #2. Just because retail sales are going down doesn't mean people are spending less on PC gaming.

5. Just because more developers are going to consoles doesn't mean PC gaming is dying. They're businesses. They want to make $. They make $ far easier on consoles because of the things mentioned in #4. Publishers realized this mainly last-gen.

So piracy has nothing to The weak PC industry What do you think is the Solution to making The PC gaming Rise again !Dark_prince123

1. All companies need to take a long look at what Valve, Blizzard, and Stardock are doing. Which are:

- Low system requirements.

- Long-lasting gameplay.

- Mod support.

- Free patches that give free content.

2. Bring back the cRPGs. We need modern Baldur's Gates, Icewind Dales, Planescape: Torments, NWNs, etc.

3. Bring back the innovation as a whole. Yes, PC gaming is still the leader of innovation in the industry, but that's only in a few genres.

4. Modern X-Wing vs TIE Fighter would be glorious.

5. Bring back the adventure games.

6. Eradicate the existence of any DRM.

This list is open to additions or removals.

Of course it weaken's the PC industry but there's really a total of zero things we can do about it Things like hardcore DRM have weakened the PC industry just as much as pirates and pirates get the versions without it we don't need a solution to make "The Pc Gaming Rise again" it never fell..

I really hate how your statement makes PC gamers look as they only are the only one pirating games. Just so you know the x360 version was leaked way before the PC version and guess what all x360 leaks are fully functional online unlike pc games, so stop this kind of stupid threads.

Also just so you know Dirt 2 is coming out this week and guess which plataform is going to get the game pirated 1st (hint is not the PC so don't blame poor sales on it).

I don't see how people pirating the game now would hurt the sales more than it would if people would be pirating it 1 day after release in any way, poeple that want to pirate it, will be doing it, regardless of the time of the actual release

Nobody is forcing you to buy a game on day 1. Personally I'm avoiding doing that because I learned my lesson with L4D (I paid a little over U$50 at retail only to find out that a couple of weeks later the game got a price drop -U$37- in the steam store). As for modern warfare, well I don't care, I got plenty of MP games to play right now . And why a company like codemasters would invest time and resources adding new features to Dirt 2 for PC if it's a dying plataform? I think we all can agree that PC gaming sometimes reaches a stalled point due to the lack of innovation because most companies are trying to make a quick buck by releasing crappy games and not taking risks and bring something new an original to the table.

enough with this BS already.in my opinion, pirates are the players who wont actually buy the game even if they like it.so i does not matter.stop excusing the laziness of certain developers by make it a fact that PC gamers dont deserve anything because we are a bunch of pirates

Get over it. Anyone who was going to buy the game will still buy the game anyway. Pirated downloads != Lost sales, and developers and publishers know this. They only use Piracy as an excuse when they need to stop all their investors from dropping out.

Because piracy can only happen in the PC industry?

The three typical reasons for piracy on the PC.

1) Because of mixed reviews and no DEMO players want to test the game before they make a purchase. 2) Anything with DRM stamped on it only means headache for gamers. Why buy something you can only use a few times when you can download it? 3) Games that are no longer sold in stores and/or are overpriced for what copies are sold in sites like Amazon.

So how do you minimize piracy? -notice I say minimize as people will always practice piracy-

1) Provide game demos for players so they know what they are comfortable in a purchase. 2) Remove DRM features which only deters players from buying the game at all. 3) All game developers should always have some type of digital download system for old games that are no longer sold. I know many of my friends have resorted to piracy because that was their only option in finding a game that is 6+ years old.

Shut up defending piracy. The game was leaked before it was released, some one is going to get arrested and is going to pay.

1 and 2 are horrible excuses to pirate a game. Everygame has DRM even console games. And the whole 3 install limit isn't that bad as people make it out to bew and also considering that pretty much 90% of all games that use that system have a revoke tool. The only one I somewhat agree with is 3. If I can't find the game for a reasonable price then how am I supposed to buy it?

[QUOTE="kieranb2000"][QUOTE="tony2077ca"][QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"] 1 and 2 are horrible excuses to pirate a game. Everygame has DRM even console games. And the whole 3 install limit isn't that bad as people make it out to bew and also considering that pretty much 90% of all games that use that system have a revoke tool. The only one I somewhat agree with is 3. If I can't find the game for a reasonable price then how am I supposed to buy it?

drm on console games that's new

You need to learn what DRM is methinks :)

or you need to learn sarcasm

Even if taken in a sarcastic context, what you said implied that you didn't think console games had DRM o.o' So perhaps you need to learn sarcasm?

Stop crying, game developers are just constantly blaming pirates because their game sucks. Batman is a good game, piracy of this game will barely hurt the sales because the majority will purchase it.

While there are too many good games out there to just say that all of the developers that blame piracy have terrible games (and besides, why would it be pirated if it was terrible?) not only is PC Gaming growing, thanks to Steam and other factors (and to the contrary opinions of many) but Piracy doesn't really kill the sales of that many games. A lot of Indie devs have a huge problem with piracy, but not a game like Batman: Arkham Assylum. The majority will purchase even moderately well-known titles.

But These days I see alot of Exculsive games were in the PC moved to consoles .Dark_prince123

You are not looking at the other side of the picture.

I bought quite a few games that are still PC-exclusive.

The Witcher, Gothic 3, World in Conflict, just to name three.

Eidos doesn't like to follow the rules themselves. I'm not going to grieve for them if they lose money.

Pirating is wrong, don't do it. PC gaming is dying? I would have to disagree, with the influx of MMO's out there I think more people are playing PC games then ever. Also, there will never be a better platform to play an RTS on, and arguably FPS. By pirating games you are certainly not helping PC gaming. If it happens too often, game Developers might think twice before making a port to PC, in which case PC gaming could be in trouble.

meh, PC games are getting pirated days in and days out, I don't see you this piiisssed over other games?

so you get so work up by a console port -- what about those PC exclusive titles? apparently you weren't that piissed about their being pirated?

also, from what you were saying, it's almost like Bionic Commando's being pirated would be more justified since it's a bad port (or bad game according to your taste?)

if everybody knows this, why did you begin with your OP with "Did you know..."?

yeah, PC piracy is bad, and I wish it'll stop the current multiplaform trend^"^
