I can only afford one game. I would like my computer to be able to run it near flawlessly. Also, no M. I am thinking BF 2. Mabey guild wars. My Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo
7600 GT
1 GB RAM

Anything else just tell me. What do you think I should get?

Although a billion people will probably disagree with me, I say that if you're in the mood for some good single player get Oblivion. It will last you forever, literally. If you're in the mood for a multiplayer only game, then BF2 is great... just make sure you do all the port forwarding to get online play running smoothly.

I all ready played oblivion on my 360. It was great, but now I am done with it. The games I have now are- Dark Messia of Might and Magic, Counter strike, day of defeat, counter strike source, day of defeat source, europa universallis III and half life 2 death match. I love steam.

Is there a reason you can't get a M rated game? From what I see, a lot of your PC games are rated M.

I would say Battlefield 2 or CoD battlepack which comes with all three CoD games. Also, since you have steam and if you have Half Life2, only saw you mention deathmatch, get mods for it. Battleground 2; Vikings, Knights and Pirates and other stuff like that.

Far Cry is great fun, and looks really good with the HDR tweaks on... and both it and BF2 are $10-$15 now on Amazon. Far Cry is M, though... but if you order it online, nobody will ever know. ;) And if you're opposed to M rated games because you think blood is distasteful instead of because you're a minor who can't buy them in stores, then there's an option in the game to turn off the blood and gore. So you're all set!

Sims, Rome:total War, Rise of Nations, Supreme Commander, Sid Meirs Pirates, it really depends on what games you like.

You seem to like shooters so check out Unreal Tournament if you can.

speaking of the rated M stuff, why can't you just go buy it with one of your parents or guardians? I bought F.E.A.R. with my mom at Best Buy. She showed her ID and I went home with F.E.A.R.

If I could only get one game it would be WC3. Guild Wars is another good choice, you want find many games that will last as long as those two.

Okay you can turn off the blood in Far cry so we can't rule that out. But BF 2 is the way to go

BF2 It is great. No need to buy any of the expansion packs though, unless it comes in a bundle. BF2 is great, and great than BF2142 and several others.

Why the hell would you want my opinion and now that you got 20 people giving you 2-5 suggestions each you now have a list of atleast 30 recamended games. does that simplify it much?

Singleplayer: Medieval 2: Total War; this game will last you for months!  Idunno if strategy is your thing tho...

Multiplayer: BF2 or BF2142; despite all the haters and some bugs, these games are a blast to play.  Personally, I enjoy BF2142 more than BF2.

If you like turn based strategy games, you can try your hand at Galactic Civilization II: Dread Lords. I find it very addictive, though I don't play it as much as I used to. If you like it, you can then maybe follow up with the expansion for it that just came out. You could probably grab both of them for $40-50 or so....I think you can even find a place online where you can download them.

Runs like crap on a 7600GT.  He said flawless and with that card he would have to play with Scenery at low-medium.  Dont get me wrong I love MSFS-X but its not very good for a card like that and its not really a game.  Its more like a flight instruction program.

i found myself being more addicted to 2142 But you should get the Deluxe Edition of BF2. Comes with BF2 and Special Forces. If you get Special Forces you'll also get some more weapons to unlock in regular BF2 and trust me they're REALLY useful (G63E ftw!)

I can recommend:

  • FEAR
  • The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay
  • Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War

I also really enjoyed the new Prince of Persia games, not the 2nd one so much.

These are all fairly new and will run great on your system.
