I can't get gears of war to get working again.

I have had the game for a bit, and beat it, and uninstalled it. but something went wrong with the uninstallation, i can't find anymore files forgears of war, but it says that gears of war is still installed. and now i want to install it again. but every time i try to install it, it trys to uninstall because it thinks gears of war is still installed. But the uninstallation doesn't work, so it just cancels it. What can i do?G3T_IN_MY_B3LLY

I know how to help in these situations but I don't think with Gears of War. Thousands of people have had issues with this game in every forum and in everyway possbile. There has not been one fix that permanitly fixes all or just one of these issues form anybody.

I haven't heard about that problem until now. Maybe try the Gears Forum. I have not had a single issue with my copy, so I don't know why people with better computers than me are having problems.

also, when i try to uninstall it, i get error:0x80040702 and it says that it failed to load DLL; Firewallinstallhelper

what does this mean?

I had a similar problem with football manager.

I do not know if this will help but this is what i did to fix it.

Instead of trying to un-install using the normal method i went into program files and manually deleted all the sports interactive files, for gears of war it will be under the publishers name probably(microsoft games studio).

I then went into the un-install a program menu and selected football manager(gears of war in your case) and tried to un-install it and it said it could not find football manager and would i like to remove it from the list, i clicked yes and it was removed from my installed programs.

Then i was able to re-install as normal, hope this helps.
